Roberto Rojas-Cessa, Professor and a member of the US Academy of Inventors, performs research on the wide area of networking, such as free-space optics, network applications on decision making on emergency and security using computational intelligence, data center networks, cloud computing, and measurement. He also investigates digitization of the grid, part of a recent NSF award: Fusion of Data and Power for a Controlled Delivery Power Grid, which aims at exploring how to digitize energy and electric power for a more efficient, green, and robust intelligent grid.
