Ali Abdi, Professor of Electrical and Computer Engineering at New Jersey Institute of Technology (NJIT), is a Fellow of IEEE. His research endeavors include wireless communication and propagation modeling in underwater, radio and pipeline channels, vector acoustic communication and signal processing, blind modulation recognition, analysis of molecular networks, and cell signaling.

One of his ongoing research projects, supported by NSF, focuses on developing novel and efficient vector underwater communication techniques.
