The ECE Department congratulates Dr. Leonid Tsybeskov on being granted tenure.  Dr. Tsybeskov joined the Department of Electrical and Computer engineering in 2001 as associate professor.  He has a sustained record of excellence in scholarly research in the field of nanostructures. His research is focused on novel materials and structures that promise breakthroughs in the technology of electronic and optical devices based on quantum effects.  He was recently elected a Fellow of the American Physical Society.  He received a Ph.D. in applied physics from Odessa State University in 1986.
