The Helen and John C. Hartmann Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at New Jersey Institute of Technology is currently accepting applications for two faculty positions available at this time.
1. Assistant Professor tenure-track faculty position in the area of computer engineering with a focus on novel architectures and systems for neuromorphic computing, quantum computing and other emerging information processing paradigms for applications in machine learning/data science, high-performance computing and advanced computer networking. We are also interested in candidates specializing in the post-CMOS devices and systems for developing novel architectures for these applications as well as for embedded systems, internet-of-things (IoT), and cyber-physical systems. 2. Assistant/Associate/Professor tenure-track/tenured faculty position in all areas of power and energy systems with a focus on grid modeling and operation, power systems with large renewable penetration, digitalization and cybersecurity in power systems, physical infrastructure at the power system levels (Req905).
Applicants must hold a PhD or equivalent degree in computer/electrical engineering or closely related field and demonstrate ability to conduct outstanding research and education. For senior level applicants, a strong track record in externally funded research and the ability to lead large scale research and educational programs by leveraging diverse department and university capabilities are critically important.
